Charles E. Gilbert, father of Mrs. Tom Lathrop of this city, died Friday at his home in Crawfordsville following a long illness. He is survived by his widow, two daughters and two grandchildren.

Richmond - Charles E. Gilbert born on a farm near here, died Thursday afternoon
at his home in Crawfordsville where he had been a merchant tailor for many
years. He was a son of William and
Martha Gilbert. He was first married to Josephine Fullenwider who died in 1891 and
in 1904 was married to Mary Winters, who survives with two daughters. Funeral
services will be held at the home Saturday afternoon with interment in Oak Hill
Cemetery.
